Learn About Gerald Wall

Gerald Wall

Biography

Gerald Wall has spent a large part of his adult life as someone who understands what it's like to work hard and struggle to make ends meet. He learned early on, the value of work ethic in direct proportion to pay scale.

After both parents passed away at the age of 5, Gerald and his 3 brothers and 1 sister, were sent to live with their grandmother in Houston, Texas. As a 53 year old widow raising 5 kids, let's just say, there wasn't a lot of money for anything beyond necessities. He had his first job at the age of 11, and has been working every since. He fully understands the principle of working and earning your own way in life.

At the age of 17, he joined the U.S. Army, just as the Vietnam War was coming to a close. Upon discharge from the Army, he went to work in a machine shop where he quickly learned the skills that would provide him a middle class American income. He has worked in this field for over 30 years, the last 25 years in the Petro - Chemical mechanical maintenance industry. He has worked for his present employer for 24 years, 18 of those years in supervision. He understands the value of the work ethic and personal responsibility.

Gerald married his wife Frances, when he was 21 years old and they have been married for 34 years. Gerald and Frances have 2 grown daughters, and a 14 year old son, along with 9 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. They have always been good role models for strong family values.

Gerald and Frances started attending church, were born again, and have served faithfully for over 30 years. Together they started the first Christian Festival, (The Jesus is Lord Festival), in Freeport, Texas. It was a 3 day festival which attracted over 5,000 visitors and hundreds of entertainers, and involved many of the local churches along with dozens of volunteers. The festival continued to grow for the next 5 years, until they moved from the area and no one picked up the banner.

Gerald has always been interested in politics and world events. He first voted in 1980 for Ronald Reagan, and has been a strong Reagan Conservative every since. He has always understood our government, the GOOD, the BAD, and the UGLY. Though he has never held an elected office, he considers that a strength, not a weakness. I believe Gerald has the JUDGMENT, the INTEGRITY, and the PATRIOTIC FERVER, to be a great Congressman. As he likes to say, "God, Family, and Country", in that order.
